This trail runs up Pusch Ridge at the north-west end of the Catalina mountains, which is likely the most beautiful section of mountains in the Tucson area. The trail head is on Linda Vista drive just off of Oracle road, right before you get to the Hilton El Conquistador resort. The trail starts off easy, but once you start going up the ridge, it gets quite steep and was scary enough for me that I’m not going to try this trail again any time soon. It’s also a LOT further to the top than it looks. The round trip to the summit and back is just 6.2 miles, but you climb 2720 feet over the parking lot. I took the trail so slowly, taking great care not to slip that the round trip took me six hours. Here is the Google Earth video of the trail (GPX file available here):
And this is a 360 degree iPhone video I took from the summit:
The map at the trail head does not show the trail that leads up to the summit, but it is easy to find and follow.
